A Face Book friend of mine, Harold Rozario, had written a post this morning on Apathy and Ignorance.
He said he now realizes that people have lost focus. He is speaking on many issues but what he said is equally true with the Lions Club of 308 A 2.
My former Lions Club members cannot hide behind the ‘Ignorance’ curtain. Not now, after I have explained in detail as to how the ROS records have been recorded with misinformation and how only 2 bank accounts out of 5 have been made known to most of the members.
As such it boils down to apathy and stupidity.

There is no point in praying daily and fasting and reading the Holy Books if we cannot stand up for truth.
As Edmund Burke had said: “"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
Where are those who claim to be good men who are willing to stand up and fight for what they know to be right?Why do a majority of Lions sit on the sidelines instead of actively participating and working for the good?
Why do so many Lions from the Lions clubs behave more like ostriches? I have been highlighting the problems in my club for more than 6 months and the Lions I had written to just bury their heads in the sand and expect matters to be resolved somehow.
The outcome of all these inaction has led to the resignation of 14 members of my former club as of today. This includes 6 past presidents who have been members for more than 20 years with one being a member for more than 40 years.
I believe a few more will resign before the end of the fiscal year - 30.6.2017.

Poh Seng Hock Till today, I still cannot think of any good reason why the majority of your highly learned ex-club members(highly professionals) are still so quiet about this unless they...... ?
Nai Seng Tan: It really goes beyond logic that parent usually blame soceity for the bad influence their children picked up from soceity in general but they forget the biggest source of bad influence eminates from the parents themselves. So the children upon growing up can pass on the responsiblilty of their bad upbring as a result of copying their parents. Their innocent respobse will be "if my parents can steal, what harm have I commited just because I rob". Is karma rearing its head?
My friend Poh Seng Hock, highly learned? They may be a little educated but from the little I know of you, you are more learned than most of the members of my club. Just because they are educated does not mean they are learned. I believe they are quiet because quite a few of them are a party to the misappropriation. The fact that they banded together and went on with the meeting when it was mentioned at the meeting that no 'show cause letter' had been presented to me speaks volume. Most of the members have pocked their heads underground just like the ostrich thinking that matters will blow over but...
Poh Seng Hock, for your information 14 members including six past presidents have resigned....... what does that tell you? Most of these members are more than 20 years old members. One of them has been a member for more than 40 years. The others are just not facing reality.

Harold Rozario: 'Cannot' is for losers. Impossible is really I Am Possible. While any struggle may seem utterly hopeless, it is those who persevere who see the rewards of their efforts. Rather than be negative or detrimental to his efforts, praise him for his courage to fight the lonely fight against the overwhelming tide of ignorance and apathy.
Thank you for your encouragement. It is friends like you, Nai Seng Tan, Poh Seng Hock, Huang Poh Lo and Michael Oh who keep me going. There are also many 'likes' from many friends which I am grateful for as well.
Michael Oh: 'cannot' is not all. Starting your own club and in so showing all other clube by example on the ways of the TRUTH. One cannot achieve the ultimate Truth just by eliminating the Bad fruit ??? Harold Rozario
Harold Rozario: i do not think we are 'eliminating' anything. We are instead striving to change what is.
If your theory is correct, imagine how many political parties there would be. For every bad one, ten other or more will be started. We need to fix the root cause.
Harold Rozario: Star Trek was great. Go where no man has gone before. The Pioneers, The Path Finders, The Discoverers etc. all have something in common. They had many critiques.

However, 14 long standing members quit the club and that is in a sense a big support.
Yes, my journey was similar but not the same as I did not have like minded members.
However, the journey was worth it. I and, I believe, many members learned a great deal.
