Comments by John Ho in IPP Barry Palmer's FB account (Part 3)

The comments posted in IPP Barry Palmers FB page can be found here.

Have you told IPP, because of your totally unreliable, unscrupulous and twisted information on those accounts, KK Host was deregistered by the authorities (ROS) and PDG John Ho and another have filed a court action for its reinstatement. The Minister of Home Affairs responsible for ROS has now given his approval for KK Host reinstatement.

Comments by John Ho via Marcia Hong (Part 2)

Marcia Hong Luqman Michel , have you told IPP:

2. those statements were tabled and adopted at the 2012 AGM of KK Host and the bank accounts are in the name of the club and have been properly established and operated since 18 years ago. How can these be secret accounts?

My response: This is a blatant lie as no one other than the Past Presidents’ Council knew about these three accounts. I was director for the year 2015/2016 and I was not informed about the 3 accounts. All the directors were given treasurer’s report which consisted of the Administrative account and Project bank account held and operated by the club in Alliance bank.

John Ho's comments in IPP Barry Palmers FB page - Part 1

After an absence of more than a year of comments by John Ho via his common law wife Marcia Hong he suddenly appeared on 21.5.2019 and posted a few lines in a Face Book post in International Past President Barry Palmer’s page.

I did not want to respond but then again if I don't many of the readers of IPP Barry's FB page will think that I am at fault.

Quotable quotes 4 – CC Pung

"Don't judge lest you be judged. The secretary is a volunteer and an elected official with some 40 years of impeccable service as a civil servant. Please give him the benefit of the doubt. He stands corrected, not accused." (Pung Chen Choon)

On hindsight, now with all the information unearthed, it is clear as to why CC Pung defended Francis Chai. Francis Chai (secretary) had given to me in writing that he was coerced to change the minutes by the president Thomas Ho Thau Phin. As such, what ‘benefit of doubt’ is CC Pung talking about?

Quotable quotes (Part 3) – Pung Chen Choon (CCPung)

This is a good time for this quote by Past President CCPung.

I wrote an email to all members of Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host and asked if there were more than the two bank accounts extended to the BOD. This was at a time when I was still a member of the club.

Barry Palmer - Past Presidents Council’s Secret bank accounts

                                                 International Past President Barry Palmer

Here are 3 secret bank accounts operated by the Past Presidents Council. These bank accounts were never known to members until I discovered them and informed the members.

However, neither LCI, District Governors or Past District Governors have asked to examine the secret bank accounts.
Now, an International Past President (IPP), Barry Palmer has promised to investigate the matter of LCIF funds being mismanaged both by LCIF and Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host.

Lions Club International Foundation and its 4 Star Rating

Here is some information I extracted from the internet on LCIF followed by my comments.

"Fiscal responsibility and transparency are important to LCIF. LCIF continues to ensure that all donated funds are used efficiently to help even more people."

Lions Clubs – Lessons to be learned (Part 2)

lit. an arrogant army is bound to lose (idiom)
fig. pride goes before a fall
Let us give Barry Palmer a few days to discuss matters with LCI and other IPP's. Meanwhile let us look at what lessons we can all learn from the LCKK Host screw up by LCI and PDG's.

Many of the former members of the Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host have paid a high price for the arrogance of a few of the Past Presidents of Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host..

Some of the Past Presidents led by John Ho became over-confident and ignored what they did not know. They became arrogant.

IPP Barry Palmer - Face Book Discussion (Part 2)

(Photo Past IP with current IP)
First IP from Australia and first woman IP

Let us start from the very beginning… a very good place to start.

I reported about misappropriation of funds by the Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host (the name the club was known to all members). I wrote to LCIF if they had given grants to LCKK Host and the answer was in the negative.

IPP Barry Palmer - Face Book discussion (Part 1)

International Past President of Lions Club International, IPP Barry Palmer is the only IPP from Australia. He has been my Face Book friend for quite a while.

Here is the beginning of a FB exchange from May 12th 2019. Let us hope IPP Barry will be able to investigate into this matter and recommend to LCI on what action to take against the culprits who have siphoned off grant money from LCIF meant for the poor.

Lions Club - Lessons to be learned (Part 1)

I understand that the Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host will be reinstated by ROS following intervention by the Home Ministry. Believe me when I say I am glad the club will be reinstated.

‘Setting up IPCMC not to punish any parties’

Recently I read an article in the Daily Express, Sabah about the setting up of IPCMC.

IPCMC is an independent body to replace the Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC) which has the role of receiving complaints and conducting investigations against police misconduct.
The important question to ask is if the officers in this new Agency – IPCMC - are the same as that of EAIC.

What changes are there going to be in IPCMC as compared to EAIC.
