Lackadaisical attitude of the Lions Club’s District Governor Lydia Lu Siew Fong (Lydia SF Lu)

I wrote to the DG for year 2021 – 2022, Lydia SF Lu, on 8.7.2021 and have yet to receive a response from her.

From what I have seen since 2017 all District Governors are only interested in going about collecting donations and grants and doing some charity work.

Registrar of Societies (ROS) and its powers

I don’t have the evidence as would be required by the court. Does that mean there is no way forward? Let us examine what the Societies Act has to say on this.

Powers  of  Registrar

3A. In addition to the powers, duties and functions conferred on the Registrar by this Act and any regulations made thereunder, the Registrar  shall  have  and  may  exercise  all  such  powers,  discharge all such duties and perform all such functions as may be necessary for the purpose of giving effect to and carrying out the provisions of  this  Act.

Evidence (Part 3)

When the Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host was reinstated, money was collected from members to repay John Ho, Joseph Chai and Thomas Ho Thau Phin for having advanced money to pay District and LCI dues for the financial year 2018/2019.

Evidence (Part 2)

Where is my evidence to take the Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host to court to prove that they had mismanaged the donations given?

Evidence (Part 1)

Two days ago I watched a Tamil film, Adanga Maru, that I had watched a few years ago. The title loosely translated means ‘refuse to be tamed’ or ‘resist bullying.’

As a police officer the hero in the film catches 4 guys who had raped a girl and murdered her. They are released because of lack of evidence and because of their influential parents.

Sabah JP's want to be recognised as second class magistrates

Here is my open email to the President of MAJAPS. Read my post yesterday to better understand this email to Datuk Seri Dr. Clarence B. Malakun (Photo above).

Dear Datuk Seri Dr. Clarence Bongkos Malakun,

I read with interest an article in the daily Express as follows:

Majaps wants powers of JPs to be restored

Published on: Sunday, August 16, 2020 on the Daily Express, Sabah.

Here are some extracts:

“We are trying to get the federal ministry of law to give a circular directing all federal government departments in Sabah to recognise the signature of JPs.

“If that cannot be done, then maybe it will have to be done in the Parliament to enhance the JPs’ powers in Sabah,” said Majaps President Datuk Seri Dr Clarence Bongkos Malakun

“Actually we want Sabah JPs’ signatures to be recognised…the RTD no longer recognises our signatures. It is embarrassing for us to be made JPs but can’t do anything,” he said.

Malakun added that the powers of JPs in the peninsula were quite clear.

“We want actually to be recognised as a second class magistrate,” he said.

PDG John Ho of Lions Club KKHost

In our local newspaper on page 6, on 4.3.2020, I read the following:

"As a general statement and warning, this court wishes to make it clear that the court will not tolerate any attempt to mislead the court or contemptuous conduct, this court makes it abundantly and crystal clear that it will not hesitate to impose a fine or imprisonment," the judge said.
John Ho and Francis Liew had stated in their affidavit filed in November 2018 that the members as at 22.7.2018 had authorised them to affirm the affidavit.

PDG John Ho and the affidavit filed in November 2019

Before we go to the next collateral damage, perhaps we should check the affidavit filed by PDG John Ho in November 2019 in the case in the Disciplinary Court. We will look at the parts that concerns Dr.Arabi Wazani and our Joseph Chai (JP).

It will implicate many others in the club too.

Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host and it’s conscience

I am writing the following to help members involved to prepare for answers when the case goes to court. I want to give a fair chance for all those concerned to make a wise decision. The club members expelled me with trumped up charges.

LCIF Screw up

                                                                By LCIF and LCI

This is part four of my response to John Ho's comments in IPP Barry Palmer's FB page.

"Have you asked IPP about LCIF matching grants; how only 50% of the project funds are granted by LCIF so that there can never be any unused LCIF funds once the project is completed; how LCIF only releases the grants to the DG of the Grant applicant District, as Grant Administrator, so LCIF obviously have no record of releasing funds to KK Host."

John Ho's comments in IPP Barry Palmers FB page - Part 1

After an absence of more than a year of comments by John Ho via his common law wife Marcia Hong he suddenly appeared on 21.5.2019 and posted a few lines in a Face Book post in International Past President Barry Palmer’s page.

I did not want to respond but then again if I don't many of the readers of IPP Barry's FB page will think that I am at fault.

Barry Palmer - Past Presidents Council’s Secret bank accounts

                                                 International Past President Barry Palmer

Here are 3 secret bank accounts operated by the Past Presidents Council. These bank accounts were never known to members until I discovered them and informed the members.

However, neither LCI, District Governors or Past District Governors have asked to examine the secret bank accounts.
Now, an International Past President (IPP), Barry Palmer has promised to investigate the matter of LCIF funds being mismanaged both by LCIF and Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host.

Lions Clubs – Lessons to be learned (Part 2)

lit. an arrogant army is bound to lose (idiom)
fig. pride goes before a fall
Let us give Barry Palmer a few days to discuss matters with LCI and other IPP's. Meanwhile let us look at what lessons we can all learn from the LCKK Host screw up by LCI and PDG's.

Many of the former members of the Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host have paid a high price for the arrogance of a few of the Past Presidents of Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host..

Some of the Past Presidents led by John Ho became over-confident and ignored what they did not know. They became arrogant.

IPP Barry Palmer - Face Book Discussion (Part 2)

(Photo Past IP with current IP)
First IP from Australia and first woman IP

Let us start from the very beginning… a very good place to start.

I reported about misappropriation of funds by the Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host (the name the club was known to all members). I wrote to LCIF if they had given grants to LCKK Host and the answer was in the negative.

Quotable quotes (Part 1)

On 12.12.2016 John SF Ho sent a Whats app message to the members of Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host as follows:

J Ho: “The onus of proof of any wrong doing is on the accuser. Let Luqman prove KK Host has 3 bank accounts at Alliance Bank. Any legal organization can have as many bank accounts they want.”

The scheme

A scheme is an organized plan for doing something,
especially dishonest or illegal that will bring a good
result for the schemers.
Why did Arabi Wazani, CC Pung, Tan Sing Ben and Joseph Chai open the third bank account in Alliance bank when they already had two different bank accounts in Hong Leong Bank under the name Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu (without the suffix Host)?

How the police investigation office failed in its duty

There were two major matters I had complained about:

1.       Misappropriation of funds which tantamount to criminal breach of trust
2.       Manipulation of minutes

Police vs Lawyers

All the lawyers I spoke to said that my club members involved in misappropriating monies from the club account can be charged under Criminal Breach of Trust.
