Truth kept silent

 

In 2017 I was expelled from the Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host.

The Past District Governor John Ho had schemed to operate 3 secret bank accounts unknown to most members and directors of the club.

The scheme was operated clandestinely for over 10  years until I joined and suspected something was amiss.

John Ho convinced most club members to expel me instead of settling the matter amicably.

The result was the deregistration of the club despite John Ho seeking the help of a minister.

A Blast from the Past (Part 2)

 

I am in the process of collating information for my legal case against my former club. I am going through my emails and looking for information to include in my affidavits. 

When the president of my club, Past President Carol Lo Phit Hah, asked for information on 100% attendance pin I wrote to PDG Bill Keller who replied me promptly and I provided the response to my club which was the beginning of my ordeals with PDG John Ho.

However, there was no response to a subsequent email, copied below, to PDG Bill Keller.

In our local newspaper on page 6, on 4.3.2020, I read the following:

"As a general statement and warning, this court wishes to make it clear that the court will not tolerate any attempt to mislead the court or contemptuous conduct, this court makes it abundantly and crystal clear that it will not hesitate to impose a fine or imprisonment," the judge said.

John Ho and Francis Liew had stated in their affidavit filed in November 2018 that the members as at 22.7.2018 had authorised them to affirm the affidavit.

Before we go to the next collateral damage, perhaps we should check the affidavit filed by PDG John Ho in November 2019 in the case in the Disciplinary Court. We will look at the parts that concerns Dr.Arabi Wazani and our Joseph Chai (JP). 

It will implicate many others in the club too.

Turning Point & Surprise News

This morning when I went into Face Book the first item I read was the one posted by President elect of Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur Host - LCKLHost - (sister club of LCKKHost) Ln. Lawrence Ang.

Lawrence Ang: “This is the turning point of the century as we welcome Lion Gudrun of Iceland as the first female Lions Club International President 2018-19.”

In response to a comment by a Face Book friend, Marcia Hong said that she was an invited guest at the board meeting where she had blurted out some words.

Now, I went through the minutes as I have a little time as I think that this has gone far enough and we should leave it to ROS for its investigation as I had intended.

Response to a comment in my Facebook post

A president of another club. President Ctv Chong, who shared my post had commented: “This is the same thing as you wrote one year ago. Do you have any proof? Give us the proof and we will give you the support.”

I had given him a long list of proofs but in addition I would like to ask him and other Lions anywhere in the world the following which is in my blog.

 Response: Genuine Lions and intelligent members will not have done what your members have done, George. Your members would not have ganged up together and expelled me without going to ROS before the EGM. Lions would not have trumped up excuses to expel me. Which excuse in your Resolution to expel me is true?

The year of the Rooster started with a bang for KK Host with two main events that had attracted members’ interest to turn up in large numbers, the impending handover of the Asrama Desa Lion on 18 February 2017 is a long awaited event that will culminate as the highlight of fiscal year 2016-17. (Other than the 50^th Anniversary celebration in October 2016)

The first event on 3 January 2017 was unfortunately unprecedented, involving 41 members which would go down in History of the Club as a day of immense controversy and somewhat sordid an affair where members in general were lobbied to attend and make decisions based on evidence put forward by 18 members to judge LM’s legitimacy to remain a member of the Club. No need for me to expound further the outcome of the 03 January special meeting.
