Hind sight on John Ho’s intimidating email

This post was drafted in January 2021 but for some reason I had not published it.

Today, 25.1.2021, I read the email from PDG John Ho to PDG Eve Wong, International president of LCI and David Kingsbury of LCI legal. This email was written in March 2017.

I read the email to prepare documents for filing my intended court case against my former Club.

Let me respond to the email with hind sight.

Evidence (Part 3)

When the Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host was reinstated, money was collected from members to repay John Ho, Joseph Chai and Thomas Ho Thau Phin for having advanced money to pay District and LCI dues for the financial year 2018/2019.

Lion Club District 308A2’s disregard to Societies Act

The Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host was de-registered under section 13 which therefore makes it an unlawful society.

I understand, from members of the LCKKHost, that money was paid to LCI by John Ho for the year 2018/2019. I have written to LCI on this matter and waiting to hear from the legal department of LCI.

Meanwhile, since this is a local issue, I shall write to ROS after the Chinese New Year, and find out if its provisions are for show. (After CNY as there are a few more loose ends to tie up)

More background information of Lions Club's misappropriation of funds.

The indented statements are extracts from the Daily Express report on 12.1.2017.

The Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host claims it responded within 24 hours upon receiving a show cause letter from the Registrar of Societies on issues it believes “were purely administrative and do not warrant deregistration”

Lions Clubs - Mistake or a sin

A sin is more than a mistake. It’s a deliberate choice to do something you know is wrong.

Is a scheme orchestrated by a few so called educated members of a club a mistake? I think it is not.

Many people assume that a mistake and sin are synonymous but are they?

Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host -A lesson from Bhagavad Gita

Here is something to ponder over especially for my Hindu friends including Sai Baba Devotees.

In the Bhagavad Gita Krishna tells Arjuna that he should go into battle and fight.
Arjuna then tells Krishna that he cannot fight, because he sees opposite him his grand uncle Bhishma and cousins and other relatives.

Bukit Aman Police report

The first paragraph in my post yesterday of the email from John SF Ho is:

“The police in Bukit Aman and Travers have already advised me to initiate legal action against LM for these allegations. I am holding back because I doubt he has enough money to pay if he loses.”

Norman Lie's Board Papers -7.2.2017

Norman Lie’s BOD papers – 7.2.2017
The year of the Rooster started with a bang for KK Host with two main events that had attracted members’ interest to turn up in large numbers, the impending handover of the Asrama Desa Lion on 18 February 2017 is a long awaited event that will culminate as the highlight of fiscal year 2016-17. (Other than the 50th Anniversary celebration in October 2016)

The first event on 3 January 2017 was unfortunately unprecedented, involving 41 members which would go down in History of the Club as a day of immense controversy and somewhat sordid an affair where members in general were lobbied to attend and make decisions based on evidence put forward by 18 members to judge LM’s legitimacy to remain a member of the Club. No need for me to expound further the outcome of the 03 January special meeting.
