1. Dr.Arabi Wazani:
It was in his year as president in 2000 that Dr. Arabi
proposed a ‘Visionary idea’ of forming the Past Presidents’ council. (The word
‘visionary idea’ is from the book commemorating the 50th
Anniversary). I am not sure if this is an imported idea from the Middle East or
Jordan where I believe he comes from.
I would like to find out from him why the office lot
purchased at RM140,000 in 1999 was not recorded in the ROS records.
Why was the
office lot never recorded as an asset of the club? He has been treasurer a
number of times since he became president in the year 2000.
An amount of Rm2,000 was collected from a few past
presidents. Where was this amount credited? I was told by one of the Past
Presidents, Lion Jessie Chong, that the bulk of the money for purchasing the
office lot came from excess funds from projects.
Is it allowed by Lions Club International for excess funds to be used for administrative purposes? I don't think so.

Dr. Arabi Wazani, is an expert on rules and regulations of
LCI and it would be nice of him to answer some of these questions. The Lions Book
published to commemorate the 50th Anniversary states that Dr.Arabi
Wazani was one of the main players.
No other club has its own club office lot. If LCKK Host can
buy an office lot from excess funds then why not the other clubs?
Dr.Arabi was also one of 4 persons to open the third bank
account in Alliance bank. This bank account was never recorded nor shown in the
Club accounts. It was never recorded in the records of ROS. Was it his idea not
to show it to members or was it a joint idea with John Ho and other key members
of the club?
How did Dr. Arabi Wazani open a bank account in Alliance
Bank under the name ‘Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host’ when there was no
Certificate of Registration under that name from ROS. ROS only approved that
name in November 2016.
None of the members other than a few privileged members knew
how money in the ‘secret’ third bank account was utilised.
Next, we will look at Joseph Chai JP.
