Response to a comment on De registration (Part 2)

Here is the comment and my response.

Diane Carmelia:  Luqman, the answer to your question could be derived from the position taken by LCI legal division in this attached email reply on the same matter of a deregistered club.

I looked at the response from LCI’s Mr. David Kingsbury (Attorney for LCI) shared by Diane and don’t have much to say.

Mr.David Kingsbury wriggled his way out of my email to him by saying he has nothing to say. He and LCI Legal were informed in December 2016 when I was still a member. LCI failed to take action and then after I had been expelled said that they will not take action as I am no more a member and also because I had made a report to the Local authorities.

Mr. David Kingsbury did say in his email to me that he may take action against members involved if the local authorities take any action. Here are the last two emails from Mr.David Kingsbury.

Dear Mr. Michel,

As you have been advised on countless occasions, club funds are managed by a local club and must be done so in accordance with local law.

You have filed formal complaints with the local authorities based on your allegations and those appropriate authorities have found no wrongdoing and no evidence of criminal behavior. Further, you were removed as a member of the Kota Kinabalu Host Lions Club in January 2017. Therefore, as you are not a member of the Kota Kinabalu Host Lions club and the appropriate authorities have determined that evidence you provided to support your allegations was insufficient to demonstrate wrongdoing, no further action may be taken in this matter.

This is the final communication you will receive on this matter.

Kindest regards,
 David Kingsbury
Attorney
Legal Division

The last paragraph of the email from Mr.David Kingsbury said the following:

Please be advised that if this situation changes and either of the authorities that have been notified do find criminal behavior occurred, we would request the district governor or any other Lion notify this office and provide any relevant evidence to confirm such findings so that additional action may be taken. Although you are not a current member, should you be aware of such information and provide that to this office, the information will be reviewed and handled in the same manner.

Kindest regards,
 David Kingsbury
Attorney
Legal Division

However, I have now written two emails to Mr.David Kingsbury, LCI Legal, LCI Admin, LCI Finance, International president and a few others .

LCI could have written to our current DG and awaiting his response before writing to me. DG Tiong Yong Tiing may have written to PDG John Ho to ask him what is the true position. Apparently this is what he did when he received my telephone call asking him not to appoint members from LCKKHost as cabinet officers.

On 18.7.18 and again on 24.7.18 I received the same response shown below as I received in December 2016 from LCI Legal department.

Should I write to the current DG Tiong Yong Tiing?  He does not respond to emails either. What do I do next?

Should LCI at least write and inform me what it is doing with regard to my email to all the three departments - Legal, Admin and Finance?
