I have finally managed to get a copy of the letter to the
Lions Club dated 28.6.2018.
Notice of De-registration of Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu (
PPM-002-12-24011967)
It is in Malay and here is a rough translation of the gist
of the letter.
1. A letter was issued on 19.12.2017 stating that the club will be de-registered unless satisfactory reasons are given to the ROS.2. ROS has considered the appeal made by the members.3. ROS does not consider the response to its letter as satisfactory.4. As such the Lions Club mentioned above is to be de-registered with effect from 28.6.2018.
The letter was addressed to the secretary and copied to;
The president – Betty EpinThe Treasurer – Jessie Goh See YeeInsolvency DepartmentThe director of police – Bukit Aman
The second page is a list of reminders or information to
officer bearers.
Note: There was a complaint that the club to be
de-registered is Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu and not Lions Club of Kota
Kinabalu Host. The club was originally registered as LCKK and not as LCKKH.
Furthermore the registration number is clearly stated at the top of the letter.
I don’t understand what the case against ROS is all about. I
have not seen the complaint to ROS.
Do you think this is over?
I believe there is more to come as I, the complainant, have
yet to receive a letter from ROS stating that the case is closed. The matter
will be deemed closed only when I have received a letter from ROS.
