Let us examine the Lckk Centennial’s 2023/2024 Secretary’s Report.

At the bottom of the secretary’s report says: 

I have met with the officers of ROS and confirmed that our club does not need to elect officers at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) as our club’s constitution clearly states that we only need to hold an election meeting to elect our new office bearers, and our AGM should be held within 60 days of the close of the financial year end.

No Lions club’s constitution would require an election to be held at an AGM. The Lions Constitution requires an election to be held no later than April 15 of each year. The club secretary is required, either by mail or by personal delivery, to give notice to each member of the club at least fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the date of election. (Standard Form Club By-Laws, Article IV, Section 1.)

All elections should be guided by the provisions contained in the respective club’s constitution. LINK

This is the only way the new officers for the year commencing 1^st July can take office.

The questions I would like answers to are:

When was the election held?

Where was it held?

Where is the notice to each member of the club before the date of the election?

The more important question: Which online form was used to update the office bearers for 2024/2025 in the ROS register? This was what PP Chin Chee Thau wanted confirmation from the officer at ROS. 

It does not matter what ROS says.

The club threatened to make a police report on me. If I remember correctly, PP Chin told me that they had gone to the police station together with a lawyer to make a report. I need to confirm this.

I will ask the Police if such a report has been made.

I will wait until the end of May, as I am still busy with another case.
