Answer to Minutes of Meeting dated 8.1.2025

Thank you for the minutes of the Meeting dated 8th January 2025

Here is the response by Lion Chin Chee Thau:-

I am aghast and being harassed by the accusations as stated.

Herewith my rebuttals according to the order as listed in the board of directors’ meeting on the 8th of January 2025.BOD? Who were they elected by? They were not duly elected by the members. Do they have the right to take disciplinary action against a member?

1)i1) unauthorised disclosure of internal club matters to a non-lion.

iii1, breaching club confidentiality.

I have done none of the above. 

There are more than 70 members in the Centennial club plus other Lions from other clubs and cabinet officers who were aware of this issue. With over 100 people privy to the information, it is an open knowledge at large. With this, why am I being  singled out as the unauthorized disclosure person. This is victimization at the behest.

To further debunk the accusation, I was informed by Lion Horace Ho that he was pestered to a meeting in the midst of his tight business schedule one evening a few months ago in 2024.

The meeting was attended by the 1st VDG Winnie Lee, Anny Poh, Horace Ho and Liew Kong Ming from Lions Club of Kota Marudu.

Horace was silent throughout while 1st VDG and Anny Poh poured out their grievances in front of Liew Kong Ming. 1st VDG and Anny were threatening Horace to leave the Centennial club and to bring all the senior members to join the Marudu Club.  Horace finished his dinner and left after receiving a call from his daughter to assist his wife who had lost her handphone while feeding stray dogs in the street. Upon leaving, Anny Poh told Horace to heed and mark her words.

The above behaviour is immature of key officers in the lions movement. I condemn such action of disclosing the confidential information of the club to a non-member. Liew Kong Ming then reported the issue to some of his club members who are in close contact with Luqman Michel.

With this I demand proof from the board of why I am being accused and singled out as the person in the disclosure of the issue. I am aghast and being harassed by the accusations as stated.

My, (Luqman’s), question now:

i.                    Did Annie Ho or any of the PDG’s question Winnie Lee if there was a meeting among Winnie, Anny, Liew and Horace? What transpired at the meeting? Who told this matter to other parties? Who informed Luqman about this matter if not CCT?

ii.                  In September was it Luqman who asked CCT to go to the ROS or the other way around? For those who accuse that it was CCT why would CCT ask Luqman to accompany him?
