Dear Puan Yuniezah,

Many Lions Clubs in Kota Kinabalu are not following the constitution as the talk is that ROS does not take serious action.

I received a letter from ROS stating that a Notice 14 (2) has been issued to the Centennial Lions club in September following an investigation conducted on 13.9.2024.

Unfortunately, no election meeting has been conducted since the Notice.

Several members are disappointed as this goes against the principles and ethics of the Lions Club.

Ethical principles are guidelines that help people make fair and just decisions by encouraging them to be honest, treat others with respect, and take responsibility for their actions.

None of the PDGs I complained to have come forward to take any action as this may be akin to ' Let the one who has not sinned throw the first stone'.

Are the office bearers duly elected? At the end of June this president will be a Past President.

If I do not hear from you within the next 2 days, I am taking this matter up to the police and the Home Minister.

Yesterday, 7.1.2025 I wrote to Dayang Ag Alipah requesting a meeting with Enc. Kipli.

Here is my email to her.

Good morning, Puan Dayang AG. Alipah.

I would be grateful if I could make an appointment to meet Enc. Kipli.

Enc. Mahar Zemi, once told me many of the Lions members behave like 'Loyar Burok'.

You informed me that Notice 14 (2) has been issued to the Centennial Lions Club.

Many members are upset that no election meeting was held and members have not been informed about the Notice. How can the appointment of office-bearers be valid without an election?

Attached is the fabricated election meeting with no date, place, and time of the meeting.

Such a meeting did not take place.

Requests from members on many matters including the election meeting are not responded to.

Emails to the DG are not responded and no PDG wants to get involved.

I would be grateful to have a meeting with Enc. Kipli before taking further action.

Thank you and kind regards,

Luqman Michel
